Do you want to develop best-in-class tools for games played by tens of millions of players?
As part of the team, you’ll be primarily responsible for the developer facing aspects of the Metaplay SDK, such as our LiveOps Dashboard. You will combine the art of user-centered design with modern front-end development practices to make working with Metaplay a consistent and joyful experience. We want you to take pride in shipping features that solve real problems, are simple to use and well-documented. You’ll also work with our customers to understand how they use the Metaplay SDK and support their use-cases with our ongoing feature work.
You can choose to work from our Helsinki office or remotely from wherever you are most productive. Together with our customers and the rest of the team, you'll collaborate on product development as well as raising the bar on existing features. You will have a very high degree of autonomy to pursue the tasks at hand to keep the Metaplay SDK cutting-edge and a joy to use!
Ideally you will have experience in some of the following areas.
There are many reasons to love working at Metaplay, but here are a few to get you started.
We license our backend platform to ambitious game developers who use it to create top-tier mobile games.
Metaplay is a technology startup that develops a backend platform for mobile game studios. We strive for high quality, usability, robustness and scalability in everything we do. Our platform is full stack: distributed servers running in the cloud, web dashboard to manage live games and client-side Unity library to enable server-authoritative game logic. The SDK ships with source code and is fully programmable and extensible by our customers.
Founded in 2019, Metaplay is self-funded and fully owned by the employees. We work closely with top-tier game developers to help them ship their games. Our technology is used in multiple live games, serving tens of millions of players worldwide.
We are based in Helsinki, as are many of our customers, but it's not a problem if you aren't - talk to us about remote work and relocation.
