Metaplay Privacy Policy

This privacy policy will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website or the Metaplay SDK.

What data do we collect?

Metaplay collects the following data:

  • Identification information of our partner companies and their contact persons (business id, name, email address, phone number, etc.)
  • Metaplay SDK usage telemetry required for billing purposes (DAU)
  • Chat and email logs of conversations with customers

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide Metaplay with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Form a business relationship with us for any of our products or services.
  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

Our Company may also receive your data indirectly from using the Metaplay SDK:

  • Usage telemetry from deployed servers.

How do we use your data?

Metaplay collects your data so that we can:

  • Manage your business relationship with us.
  • Detect problems with your server deployments.

How do we store your data?

Metaplay securely stores your data in our internal cloud services like G Suite, Notion and Slack.

Metaplay will keep your data for the duration of our business relationship and a maximum of one year after termination. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by removing or permanently anonymising any communication channels, discussion threads or database entries that were dedicated for managing the business relationship.

We may retain invoicing records and similar archival information that is legally mandatory for the ordinary daily operation of our company.

Anonymous website analytics data (Google Analytics) will be retained for two months before permanent deletion.

Marketing

Metaplay would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like.

If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date. You have the right at any time to stop Metaplay from contacting you for marketing purposes.

If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please let us know via email.

What are your data protection rights?

Our Company would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights:

  • The right to access – You have the right to request Metaplay for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
  • The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Metaplay correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Metaplay to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Metaplay erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Metaplay restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to Metaplay’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to data portability – You have the right to request that Metaplay transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
